Meet the Team

Charlotte Wright

Charlotte is a fully qualified canine hydrotherapist and a member of the National Association of Registered Canine Hydrotherapists (NARCH), ensuring the highest professional standards and ethics. The relevant qualifications, training and maintenance of a continual professional development record is essential as a NARCH member. Pet owners, referring veterinary professionals and pet insurance providers can be confident that dogs in the care of an a registered hydrotherapist receive the highest standards of treatment. 


Charlotte has over 10 years’ experience within the hydrotherapy industry and gained her hydrotherapy qualification in 2015 at Greyfriars in Guildford, a leading veterinary practice within the UK for veterinary referrals and rehabilitation. Charlotte has a vast amount of experience with a variety of aquatic treadmill and pool-based techniques to assist in the rehabilitation of orthopaedic and neurological conditions. Charlotte completed her PGDip in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Harper Adams in 2021, allowing the integration of a deeper knowledge and understanding into hydrotherapy sessions. Charlotte completed her MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2024. Her dissertation investigated the muscle activity of specific muscles within the canine forelimb whilst walking in the aquatic treadmill at varying water heights. 


Charlotte has grown up and worked around animals her whole life, with a particular love for dogs and horses. She has previously worked at kennels, veterinary practices, as well as teaching practical and theory classes for FE and HE in Animal Management at Myerscough College. She currently shares her passion with students at Fylde Coast Hydrotherapy, lecturing and practically training on their hydrotherapy qualifications. Charlotte continues to develop her knowledge at the benefit her hydrotherapy clients through regular CPD events and research.

Donna Griffiths

 Donna is a highly experienced Chartered Physiotherapist with nearly 30 years of expertise in both human and animal physiotherapy. She qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1996, and after relocating to the North West, she refined her skills in human physiotherapy while also developing a passion for animal physiotherapy. In 2003, Donna earned ACPAT(A) (The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy) status, a leading professional body dedicated to promoting the highest standards in animal physiotherapy.


Committed to professional development, Donna furthered her academic qualifications with an MSc in Research and Development in 2009, gaining a deep understanding of evidence-based practices. In 2012, she expanded her expertise by completing a certificate in Injection Therapy, allowing her to offer a wider range of treatments to her clients.


Beyond her clinical work, Donna is also a respected educator and mentor. She has lectured extensively within the NHS and has been a mentor to medical students. She actively supports ACPAT(B) students and contributes to animal physiotherapy courses, where her wealth of knowledge and experience enriches the learning of future professionals. Donna’s work has been published in leading animal journals including Companion Animals, and she regularly offers proofreading services for academic journals. Through her teaching and mentorship roles, she plays a key part in the development of animal physiotherapy education.


Donna's clinical experience spans across a variety of settings. She has worked with local veterinary practices, including secondary tier veterinary clinics, and collaborated with specialised hydrotherapists. She has worked alongside veterinary professionals to develop comprehensive rehabilitation programs, benefiting both human and animal clients. Donna has had the privilege of working with world-class athletes, including elite swimmers and competitors at Crufts, as well as agility and gun dogs, ensuring they receive the best care and rehabilitation.


Donna’s unique ability to blend her expertise in both human and animal physiotherapy, along with her dedication to continuing education and mentorship, has made her an invaluable asset to her field. Her passion for her work is evident in the exceptional care she provides to her clients, whether they are elite athletes or beloved pets.
